Communications & Marketing Manager

Munich, Berlin
Full-time
Permanent employee

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced Communications & Marketing Manager to own and shape how Twentyfour Industries is understood by the audiences that matter: Armed forces, procurement authorities, policymakers, investors, industry partners and the press. In this role, you will define our narrative and positioning, run communications and media directly, and build the marketing artifacts that support our capture programs. This is a founding mandate: solo in the first months, then a small team and a curated agency bench. You will work closely with the founders and the commercial team, and you will be measured on whether our external voice earns trust in a domain where precision matters more than volume.

The day-to-day

  • Narrative & Positioning: you own the company narrative and product positioning — defensible by any founder, in front of any audience, from an operator to a journalist
  • Communications & Media: you run PR and media relations directly until the team is large enough to delegate, and you build the relationships before we need them
  • Message Discipline: you equip every external-facing voice with briefing notes, key messages, and Q&A packs — founders, spokespeople, partners, and agencies
  • Brand & Content: you own the website, whitepapers, film, and design direction, and you manage agencies as one coherent system rather than four separate vendors
  • Capture Support & Measurement: you build marketing artifacts together with Business Development for events, tenders, and customer programs, and you report monthly on pipeline contribution, share of voice, and message penetration with named stakeholders

You should apply if you

  • Bring 3+ years in communications, brand, or marketing, with serious time in defense, space, aerospace, dual-use, or another high-complexity technical sector
  • Have taste: you direct creative work and recognize when a deck, a film, or a campaign is honest, and when it's hiding behind production value
  • Have built a brand rather than only managed one, and can point to positioning or messaging you wrote that is still in use
  • Write exceptionally well in German and English, moving between a technical whitepaper, a ministry briefing note, a co-founder keynote, and a press statement without losing register
  • Understand how European defense, policy, and industry actually work — in Germany: Bundeswehr, BAAINBw, BMVg, Bundestag, and the primes
  • Respect the discipline of the domain: classification, VS-NfD / VSVgV constraints, export control, and clearing anything that touches a program before it goes out

Nice to haves

  • Experience inside a defense start-up or prime, a ministry, an armed force, or a government affairs function
  • Existing relationships with German defense, security, and technology press
  • Hands-on execution capability across website and CMS, film, or design — you can ship without waiting for an agency

What we offer

  • Real impact & ownership: Shape high-tech defense systems and take responsibility from day one.
  • Mission-driven environment: Work on technologies that matter for European security and sovereignty.
  • Competitive package: Competitive salary, EGYM Wellpass, corporate benefits, and equity options aligned with role and level.
  • Deep tech environment: Get hands-on experience with cutting-edge drone technology and real operational use cases.
  • Grow fast: Steep learning curve for juniors, strategic influence and leadership opportunities for seniors.
  • Startup mindset meets defence innovation: flat hierarchies, fast decisions, and space for your ideas.
  • Strong team: International, driven colleagues and a culture built on exchange, trust, and shared success.
