Permanent employee, Full or part-time · Munich

Twentyfour Industries
We are an early-stage startup funded by leading European VCs with the mission to build advanced small Unmanned Systems to strengthen European sovereignty and security.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking a skilled FPV Drone Pilot for a full-time, on-site position located in Munich. The role involves operating and managing FPV drones for various applications, planning and executing drone missions, and performing maintenance checks to ensure safety and optimal performance. The FPV Drone Pilot will also collaborate with team members on drone-related operations, provide technical expertise, and train others in safe drone operation practices.
The day-to-day
  • Plan, execute, and document flight test campaigns for new UAV platforms, subsystems, and software releases.
  • Fly UAVs manually and autonomously in a wide range of test scenarios and environments.
  • Work closely with GNC, autonomy, RF, and hardware teams to validate performance and identify failure modes.
  • Define test procedures, safety protocols, and acceptance criteria for flight readiness.
  • Analyze flight logs and telemetry to provide clear, actionable feedback to engineering teams.
  • Support ground testing, pre-flight checks, and post-flight teardown and inspections.
  • Help mature systems from prototype through validation and operational readiness.
  • Continuously improve test processes to increase speed, safety, and signal quality.
You should apply if you
  • Have hands-on experience flying UAVs, including manual flight and autonomous missions.
  • Are comfortable operating in test environments where systems are incomplete, unstable, or experimental.
  • Think systematically about safety, risk, and failure modes.
  • Communicate clearly with engineers and can translate flight behavior into technical insights.
  • Prefer real-world testing over simulations alone.
  • Take ownership naturally and operate well with minimal supervision.
Nice to haves
  • Experience with PX4, ArduPilot, or similar autopilot stacks.
  • Background in flight testing, aerospace, robotics, or defense systems.
  • Experience setting up and running structured test campaigns.
  • Ability to read logs, plots, and basic control or RF performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with aviation safety processes or operational procedures.
What we offer
  • A central role in shaping and validating next-generation UAV platforms.
  • Direct influence on designs that move from prototype to fielded systems.
  • High ownership, trust, and responsibility from day one.
  • A small, high-performance engineering culture with fast feedback loops.
  • Competitive compensation and equity participation.
  • Flexible working arrangements and support for exceptional candidates.
